About Aurient

What is Aurient?

Aurient is business software made in the Caribbean by Gold Line Services Inc. in Barbados. One system runs the till (point of sale), stock in every store, buying from suppliers, wholesale orders and deliveries, manufacturing, and the books, on computers, tablets and phones.

Who is Aurient for?

Shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and hardware stores; restaurants, bars and cafés; wholesalers and distributors who sell on account and deliver; and businesses that make what they sell. It suits one location or many.

Where can I use Aurient?

Anywhere with a browser. It is built for Caribbean businesses (Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Guyana and the wider region), with local currencies, VAT or GCT, and dates the way you write them.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Aurient runs in the browser on Windows, Mac, Chromebooks, iPads, iPhones and Android. There is an Android till app for tablets with a receipt printer and cash drawer.

Prices and the trial

How much does Aurient cost?

One monthly price for the whole company, however many people use it. Each plan includes the back office (stock, buying, customers, staff and reports). See today’s prices on the pricing page; plans are billed in US dollars.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new company gets 14 days free with the plan it picks. No card is needed to start.

Do I pay per user?

No. The price covers the whole company: every cashier, driver, warehouse hand and office person.

Is there a contract?

No. Pay monthly and change or cancel your plan any time. Turn a part off and its records stay; turn it back on and everything is there.

What does the assistant cost?

The assistant is charged by use on the same monthly bill, usually well under a cent a question, and your company sets a monthly limit.

At the till

Does Aurient work offline?

Yes. The till keeps selling, taking cash and printing receipts when the internet drops, and sends everything when the connection is back.

Which printers, cash drawers and scanners work?

Standard 80 mm and 58 mm receipt printers, cash drawers that open through the printer, and USB or Bluetooth barcode scanners. Labels print on ordinary sheets or label rolls.

Can I check the card machine at the end of the day?

Yes. Closing the till asks for the cash counted and the card machine’s end-of-day total, and shows both against what the till recorded, with any difference flagged for the manager.

Can the till ask the customer’s name for the order?

Yes. Each till can ask for a name after the sale, like a coffee shop. It prints on the receipt and shows on the kitchen screen.

Your data

Can you bring over my items and customers?

Yes. Items, customers, suppliers and opening stock import from Excel templates, and we help you set up.

Is my data safe?

Every person has their own sign-in, admins use two-step sign-in, permissions decide who sees costs and balances, and every change is recorded with who made it. Your data is your business’s and you can export it.

Can Aurient connect to my website or other software?

Yes. The Aurient API lets a website, online shop, reporting tool or accounting software read and write data with per-company keys, and webhooks tell your systems when something changes.
